Hi Everyone,

I suddenly had a thought today. I do get them every so often and I decided to put my newsletters on the blog so that you can have access to them even after the event. So here is the October Newsletter from Craft Fairy:

October 2006 Newsletter

Hello to everyone who has been on the mailing list for a few months, and welcome to all the new members of the Craft Fairy community.

This month is really exciting as I have returned from welcoming my lovely new grand daughter, who is a real cutie.

My booth at the “Stitches and Hobbycrafts” in the CIA in Cardiff has been confirmed as B02. It is next to Circle Scribe. Turn left as you come in and it is in the second aisle. Ashlie Craft is on the corner, next to me. Craft Fairy is the second booth in. This is the first large Fair that I have attended so please come along and introduce your self. Don’t confuse us with The Card Fairy. They are opposite us on a much bigger stand.

If anyone is going to attend please let me know and I will send you a discount voucher for use at the show.

I have been very busy this month ordering in lots of new products. Christmas has been high on the agenda:

· Square tri-fold aperture cards in red, green and cream. These have either a round or a square aperture. Matching envelopes are included

There is a really professional set of Christmas sayings and tags. They are gold foil printed on white. They will make your cards look very smart.

Happy Santa Card

You will need:
1 round card
4 Santa head die cuts: 1 red, I flesh, 2 white
1 strip of black or brown card
1 piece of gold card

To make the card
Follow the perforations on the card to cut out the pieces shown in the following picture:

Well, the picture would be here if the blog would simply do as it's told and download. I'll get it at sometime so please come back to have a look.

Layer up the Santa head. You can use chalks to give the head definition.
It is a good idea to use foam pads to give the moustache some height.
Stick the Santa head to the front of the card.
Cut a thin strip of black card and stick th the base card as a belt.
Cut a small piece of gold card and stick to the centre of the belt as the buckle.
There you have it. The kids will love this card.
Kit available on the following link

You can have the Santa hat going either way.

I will send out an interim project as soon as I’ve had time to make a card and photograph it.
Regards to everyone

Yvonne

What a brilliant card! I have that Santa head sizzix die and I would never have thought of making a body for him. Thank you very much for sharing the idea. I can't wait to get started!
