Flowers and Sayings

It's a while since I've posted anything that has flowers drawn with my calligraphy pens but I got myself in order today and this is what I've come up with.

The blandable calligraphy pens used are on the web site and they are baby pink and pure pink. The green is 56 from the Art and Graphic range. The saying is a lovely one from our new range and it will be on sale soon.

A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge 'Oh Baby'.

I've just made this Cute little card for the challenge over on A Spoon Full of Sugar challenge 'Oh Baby'. I've also used the new Shy Bear Bo Peep Stamp from the Merry Stamper. This new set of stamps has just arrived from the States and is set to be a hot favourite here. If you want one then click here.
I stamped the image on to watercolour paper and used the Tut Art and Graphic pens to colour her in.
There is a little decoupage going on in the finished card. Look closely at the leaves on the tree and the flowers at the front of the card if you want to see it.
The card is finished with some of the beautiful light pink saddle stitch ribbon and some of my useless writing. That's easy to spot as it's the weakest link in the card.
Happy crafting,
Yvonne

Buttons and Bows for Friday Sketch! #45

Amy, over on Prairie Ink and Paper has some wonderful sketches and this is the second time that I've taken part. My only problem with her challenges is that she also makes some fantastic cards so I have to work hard to live up to her standard. So it took me two days to come up with this:

I think that many of you who visit my blog will, by now, know all about the Glamour Girls stamps from Time to Stamp, so I shan't go on about them too much.

Other bits and pieces that you might want to know are that the background paper is done with Stazon in stone grey.

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 43 and Time to Craft

Cute Card Thursday Challenge 43 is now running and, as the challenge theme is humour, I thought that I would enter this. My Time to Craft is also running a challenge: Are you having a laugh? so this is just right for that too.
Now that the wedding season is with us we shouldn’t forget that the anniversaries that are also prolific. So to celebrate that special anniversary with humour I’ve made a lovely card that your friends and relatives will love to get.

If you want to make this card you will need:

  1. 1 DL card in pale blue.
  2. The loving couple stamp from our new Flaunt it sheet of unmounted rubber stamps.
  3. 1 sheet of white card for stamping the image and the background paper.
  4. Youth is a State of Mind Stamp from the Funny Ladies sheet of stamps.
  5. Art and graphic pens from Kuretake in Pink, Skin Tone, Grey and Blue
  6. Stazon in Stone Grey

What to do:

Use Stazon in Stone Grey to stamp the image on to a piece of white card and trim to size. Colour the image with the pink and blue pens and use a little water to thin the paint to give a paler colour where needed. Edge the card in blue.

Decorate a piece of card with the pink calligraphy from the Heart set that you have edged with the blue pen from the Art and graphic pens from Kuretake. Trim to leave a fairly wide border as seen in the example. Edge the card in blue as you did with the earlier card.

Stick to the base card and use 3d foam pads to stick the loving couple sheet to the card.

Now, use Stone Grey Stazon to stamp the Youth message and again edge in blue. Yes, lots of blue edging here I know but it helps to harmonise the Images.

Use 3d foam pads to stick to the card. Your card is finished.

Blog Candy

There's Blog Candy to be found over on a lovely blog called Stamps, Paper, Scissors and a Smiling Donkey. It's very nice candy but, remember, if you go there please come back!!!

Roses to the Manor Born

Having used that subtle stripe on the lily card, I decided to use it again on this card with a rose. I've used the Cupcake Craft Challenge 22 which this week is a great sketch. I've also entered it for the Arty Glitz, Button It Challenge. So only time will tell if anyone likes it.

If you want to make something like this then you will need to use:
The rose stamp from the Flowers and Leaves unmounted rubber stamp sheet from Time to Stamp.
3 Pink buttons
Some Scrapbooking paper in a fairly subtle shade

The message stamp from the Inspirational Sayings sheet from I Brake for Stamps.
16mm Chiffon ribbon in willow.
Art and Graphic pens from Kuretake. I used the following colours to ink up the stamp: 56, 57, 200, 202.
Stazon in Stone Grey for the message.

Below is the stamp sheet for you to see all of the fantastic stamps that are on it and remember that it can be bought for only £20.

If you click on the image you will be taken straight to the product. You will probably recognise many of the stamps from cards that I've already made.

Oriental Lilies for CPS #99

Some of you may have seen me use this stamp before and it is a very pretty stamp I know so I decided that it was just the thing to use for this CPS #99 sketch today. I've also entered it for the Arty Glitz, Button It Challenge. I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If you want to make this card then you can get this super value stamp from the Postcards and Stamps sheet. You get all of these images for just £10. It can't be better.

Friday Sketch 44

Today's card is for the Friday Sketch 44 that is currently running on Prairie Paper and Ink. I've wanted to join in with this sketch for quite a while, but I've never quite had what was needed for the sketch.

I've made a simple card, but I must now admit that these are the sort of cards that I like the most.

This time things were different as I've finally received my new dies from Accucut and the scalloped circle was just the thing to make this card.

The ribbon is a grosgrain with white dots and is another beloved piece of stash.

I've also used the daisy duo from Image Tree to stamp the image and it was coloured in using my trusty Art anf Graphic pens from Kuretake.

California Vegetables

In the continuing saga of the Glamour Girls series of stamps, the California Vegetables stamp was waiting to be used and complaining bitterly that it had been left in the box, ignored and unused. Then I saw a challenge and that was it. The challenge on My Time to Craft this week is for Food, Glorious Food. So as the poor unused stamp had California Vegetables on it I knew just what to do. What you see below is the result. I hope that you like it too.

If you want to get these fantastic stamps then you can easily do so by clicking the image below.

If you want to make this card then you can get the sentiment from this sheet of stamps.

Happy crafting.

Oriental Thank You Card

I've decided to use the Oriental Splendour ATC sheet of stamps from The Merry Stamper today as it's been used by Cath Wilson in a Craft Stamper feature for the February edition. This card uses the same sheets that Cath used so you can do other things with your stamps.

I have made my card up as a 'Thank You' card as I also wanted to submit it in the Daring Cardmakers 'Give Thanks' challenge.
If you want to make this card, you will need.
Oriental Splendour ATC sheet of stamps
A5 Base card in white linen finish
Stazon in Stone Grey
Art and Graphic pens to colour the image.
Pink card to mount the image and the the background strip.
