Rose Hip Watercolour
Well my 5 watercolour classes came to an end today and I'm going to post some of the things that I painted. This is the first. I'll decide if the others are good enough to post as I go along. Im afraid that I'm my own worst critic. I'm not as bad as one lady in the class though. She rips up all of the things that she doesen't like. I try to rescue them.

This took me quite a while as I wanted to make the rosehip stand out from the foliage behind it. I wanted to make the background hazy, honest.

That is a great water colouring! you should fame it!
This is fabulous! Are you doing this freehand? Not a rubber stamped coloring? Regardless, it's beautiful, and the background fades out nicely. The hardest part about creating is getting it to look the same way on paper that it looks like in your brain :) mnhyrkas from cococats
Lovely work!!! Defo one for the wall I think :)
That is beautiful!!! No wonder you are pleased with it. Frame it and be proud of it!!! Sue xx
I love rosehips and they only form on the old fashioned roses, not my hybrids. Such a pleasure to see your watercolor. Of course you make the background slightly hazy or in photo talk 'out of focus'! :-)
Thank you for sharing this watercolor with us CC cats!
Fabulous! I love the whole effect and featuring a rosehip is grand! You should do a companion piece!
"WOW" this is wonderful... DANG RIGHT frame this..... You are so talented!

I saw this posted at cococat's and wanted to let you know how absolutely stunning this is! Your painstaking work really paid off - you created a beautifully unique piece of art!
You should be very proud of yourself. This is stunning
I found your blog from Cococat's Cardmaking site. This is absolutely gorgeous!!!
Beautifull watercolour painting unny! Great work! I would love to see some more of your watercolours, you have a lovely sense of style! Well done, it's excellent x
Awesome, absolutely awesome.
You've done brilliant work here :)
I love the roundness of the rosehip in contrast with the hazy background. You should be an illustrator for a gardening book or 'Jaime Oliver at Home' programme.
