It's Arrived.

Yipee, it's arrived and I can't believe that it is so good. Loads of cardstock and more sheets of paper that you can want. Some even contain rubber stamps.

There are makes like Scrapworks, GinX, Daisyd's and more. Watch this space. Now that I have committed myself I had better make something good.

Take Out The Stash

I really can't wait until tomorrow when the delivery of 'Take Out The Stash' arrives. It's the new box of scrapbook goodies from Scrapgenie. It costs £34.99 but there are more than £70.00 worth of things in the box. It is going to be a pot luck choice of things but as it will contain papers, card and embellishments from all the top manufacturers it should be good.

I will be able to sell it on my site because I sell at the big craft shows. I have yet to see what they are like as Scrapgenie did not have an example at the trade show last week. Fingers crossed then that it will be good. I will let everyone know what I think and if it is really good then you never know wonderful things may appear.

Mother's Day, a new chance to make cards

Any excuse will do to inspire me to make cards and what better excuse than Mother's Day. This is the day to make pretty cards so I have decided, yet agin to give into my love of all things pretty and pink.

This card sticks pretty much to that principle and with the exception of a bit of white it really is pink through and through.

I made this card on a pink tall card.

The Mother's Day message was printed on the computer and I used pink ink. Well why not? Stick it to the card as shown.

I tied a knot in a piece of pink polka dot ribbon and wrapped it around a strip of pink pearlescent card. I stuck it down with double sided tape. I used the double sided to stick the pink card to the printed card.

Make a flower motif out of one pink and one white flower. Use a pen or pencil to curl the petals so that they look more 3D. Thread a piece of 3mm ribbon through a pink button and tie. Stick the button to the centre of the flower. Stick the flower to the card.

Karate Kids

The other day someone came onto my site looking for Karate Kid dies by Sizzix. As no such die exists I thought that it would be a good idea if I showed everyone how it is done. You do need several dies though but the avid Sizzix die enthusiast will have these.

You will need
Doll body
Doll overall
Doll dungarees
Winter Clothes
Bath Robe
Doll Hair
A selection of cardstock
Cut out the body,
1 overall,
1 bathrobe,
1pair of dungarees
the hair,
the scarf from the winter clothes in the belt colour of your choice.

This should be five pieces in total. I cut a small amount off the trouser hems to make them shorter.
Glue the dungarees to the body and then glue the robe on top.
Position the scarf to act as a belt and glue to the robe.
Glue the hair in place and using a pen define the edges to make it look more 3d.
Draw in the eyes and mouth. I did the ones in the example free hand.
What do you think?
