Spring is in the air yet again.

I do love Christmas but I must admit that as soon as it is over I can't wait for the spring flowers. With that in mind I decided to respond to the challenge on I Love 2 Stamp, Go Ahead with these lovely lilac flower stamps from the Cartes Postal sheet of unmounted rubber stamps.

I used the butterfly to make the background paper and the large lilac post card stamp for the main image. the ribbon is the 16mm willow double edged satin and the image is coloured with the ~Art and Graphic pens from Kuretake.

Christmas is over so we can look to the spring.

I hope that you've all had a wonderful Christmas and that now your thoughts are turning to the beautiful spring that I know is just around the corner. I know that mine are as I really love it in the spring when all of the flowers come out. To celebrate this I've used Sketch 96 from the wonderful CPS as a basis for my design. You can look there for more interpretation of the same sketch.

To make this card you will need to use the fuschia stamp from the flower power stamp sheet from I Brake for Stamps which you can get by clicking here
For all those who want to see all of the stamps on this £10 sheet here it is:

I also used a sentiment from the Inspirational sayings plate for the words on the card.

The ribbons are:

16mm Pink Organza

9mm azelia organza

I'm not going to write out a full explanation as I think that this one is fairly self-explanatory.

Happy crafting

Yvonne

A Snowman Gift Bag

I've revived my interest is making gift bags for Christmas and I must say that I am pleased with this attempt. Have a look at this Snowman Bag and let me know what you think.

I decorated the bag with a Sizzix snowman die cut that I layered up to give him a little interest. I shaded the snowman with pearlescent chalks.

And another one....

I was so pleased with the way the the last boy card turned out that it has spurred me on to make another similar card for the challenge over on Sketch Saturday So here's my effort. Basically, I've used the same papers and ribbon but the different layout makes a huge change in the finished card. I don't know which one I like the best.

Please leave a comment and let me know.

The image is from the Kids Collection by The Merry Stamper.

Happy Christmas.

A Card for a Boy!

I know that I don't very often make cards for boys but this time I'm making the exception because it lets me use this great stamp from the Kids Collection by The Merry Stamper.
The layout of this card is courtesy of Friday Sketchers and I used the Tut Art and Graphic pens from Kuretake to colour him in. The dinosaur ribbon that I used on the tag can be bought here.
I do hope that you like this effort as I know what a pain it is to make cards for boys and I hope that any slug hunter that gets it will love it too.

Yippee!
I’ve just won a prize on the This Thursday challenge,
http://thisthursday.wordpress.com/2008/12/11/challenge-25-naughty-or-nice/
I am over the moon as the prize is great. Lots of Cosmo Cricket stuff. What a perfect Christmas present.
If you want to take a peek, the card that won the prize is called Soft Focus, and it's further down the page.
I’m sure that I’ll come down from the clouds before long.
Happy Christmas,
Yvonne

Contemporary Christmas

Over on My Time To Craft, this weeks challenge is for contemporary so I thought that this might fit the bill.

It's one that I made some time ago and I have the tutorial here.

Monochrome Madness

Great challenge on again this week over on Paper Take Weekly Challenge. This Time it's for Monochrome Madness and I've decided to enter this pink card to see if anyone likes it.

If you want more details on how I made it then click here and all will be revealed.

Cute Little Shy Bear

I've just made this Cute little card for the Punch challenge over on Cute Card Thursday challenge 40. The challenge this week is to use punches but not die cuts. So I've used my Fiskars border punch to make the decorative strip underneath the picture.

I've also used the new Shy Bear Bo Peep Stamp from the Merry Stamper. This new set of stamps has just arrived from the States and is set to be a hot favourite here. If you want one then click here.
I stamped the image on to watercolour paper and used the Tut Art and Graphic pens to colour her in.
There is a little decoupage going on in the finished card. Look closely at the leaves on the tree and the flowers at the front of the card if you want to see it.
The card is finished with some of the beautiful light pink saddle stitch ribbon and some of my useless writing. That's easy to spot as it's the weakest link in the card.

Happy crafting,

Yvonne

Soft Focus

I've wanted to make a card with this image for simply ages and when I saw Challenge 42 over on My Time to Craft, and Dawnys Sketch #4 on Paper Take Weekly I knew that it would be just the thing.
I also entered it for the Naught or Nice Challenge on This Thursday its all about... Do you think that it qualifies?

The image comes from the Glamour Girls sheet once again and the background has also been produced with a stamp from the same sheet. So does the cute little sentiment 'Divine' at the bottom of the card. The ribbon is a 7mm wine grosgrain that can be found on the Craft Fairy site by clicking here.

Thanks for looking and, if you like anything that you see, please leave a comment.

Vintage Ladies

As many of you know, I've been adding to the cards made form the Glamour Girl sheet of stamps from Time to Stamp and this is the latest to be created.

I've gone for a soft focus for a change and used light caramels and lace to give it a vintage feel.
The image is stamped in Versafine Ink in Sepia and it's on a lightly pearlised card. All of these things help to make it vintage in feel.
The sentiment is from the Inspirational Sayings from I Brake for Stamps.
Don't you just love it?

If that's not enough, here's another one to help convince you that you have just got to have this plate of stamps.

Enjoy!!!
