Fun and Funky

When Della, from 'I Brake for Stamps', told me about adding hair to the images, I couldn't wait to try it out. This card is the result and I hope that it will be the first of many. I used the cord that we sell and teased it out to make the hair. The stamp is from the new range from the Merry Stamper. Don't you just love it?

I used the Art and Graphic pens to add colour and the hair is from the cord that we also sell on the site.

The paper beneath the image is good quality wrapping paper.

Have a go yourself. You'll love thsi technique.

This is the whole sheet of stamps:

I'll be demonstrating at the NEC this week so please come along.

German Shepherd Card

I feel that I've been taking a certain amount of stick lately about the number of flower cards that I've been putting on the blog so, to redress the balance somewhat, here's the first of the dog inspired cards made from the brand new stamps to arrive on the craft Fairy site.

Isn't he so cute. Just the ticket for all of those dog obsessed out these. No need to name names as you all know who you are or if you don't, you're the one on the floor and the dog is on the sofa.

He comes from this brand new, to us, set of stamps.

There are more new stamps but you'll have to look on the site to see them. I have to tempt you somehow.

Flowers in the Garden

Well the flowers just keep on growing in my imagination and this is the latest card to arrive in my flowery, pink garden.

I drew the flowers in the usual way, but this time I used flicks of the Art and Graphic pens to make the grasses and I topped some of the flowers with flower shaped buttons.

I added thin green gingham ribbon to the card along with my favourite sentiment.

The butterfly was added to balance the bow and give more texture to the card and I thought that the top of the card looked a bit empty.

Do you like it?
