Flowers are still holding sway at the moment as I really am in love with these stamps.
This fuscia is a prime example of ways to ring the changes. As we all know, in nature not all fuscia are the same colours so you can change the flower colour to suit your papers really easily.

I stamped the pink background card with the flower from Savvy Stamps andthe message is another Savvy Stamp. The ribbon is from us at Craft Fairy and is the Satin Edged ribbon in pink.

Comments at Last

Well my pleas didn't go unheeded and lots of lovely and welcome comments have arrived on my Blog.

A big thank you to everyone who commented and I promise to keep on posting.

Here sre the next installments in the funny sports people series.

These two are great and they both come from the Funny Sports People sheet of stamps from that great company 'I Brake for Stamps'.

I've used the ribbons from Craft Fairy and paper from 'Take Out the Stash' . The colouring is with the Kuretake pens. Some times it's the Brushables and at other times the Art and Graphic twin pens. I also used the H20 brush to make the scenes look like they are watercoloured.

Both cards are 140 x 140 cm.

I've noticed that while lots of people are visiting my Blog, not many are leaving comments.

So now's your chance.

Go ahead, let me know if:

you like what you see,

been inspired and

would like me to look at your blog.

Not too hard, I think.

I saw a great sketch challenge yesterday and I decided that I just had to make a card with the stuff that I had. No suitable paper so I created my own with the Spriing Selection of Art and Graphic pens and the savvy stamps that I had with me. They are: 633G Argyle Background, 675D Dotted Happy Birthday trail and 296B Curly Flower. They will be back on sale at the end of August.

I cut a base card, 140mm x 140mm, in pink. I stuck a piece of white paper to this card and edged the paper with pink pen from the Spring Colours.
I put a layer of pink striped paper, from the Take Out the Stash Box, over part of this as shown and I then stuck on the Argyle Background which I also edged with pink pen as shown.

I stamped a piece of card with the flower and stamped the Argyle Background twice, using the pink pen to colour it up, onto 1 piece of card. I cut out two pieces to make the layers.
Stick a length of Birthday Greeting ribbon down the side of the card and top with a bow that has been tied with a bowshaper. Use foam pads to stick on the bow.
Now layer up with the daisy card which has been mounted onto a piece of pink card that matches the base card.
Finally stamp Happy Birthday on to a piece of white card and layer up with pink card. Stick to the card with 3D foam pads.

One Stamp, Lots of Cards

You will no doubt see from the following cards that I seem to have become obsessed by one stamp. I think that you'll have to agree that this is a lovely stamp and by ringing the changes with the background papers and colours used to ink the stamp, you can end up with some very different cards.

I've used it with the Brushables and the Art and Graphic pens to create the different effects. The papers are from the Take Out the Stash boxes which are lasting me an age. I don't think that I've even used 10% of the papers as yet.

Card 1 is made with the tulip in a pot from the Flower Power set of unmounted stamps from I Brake for Stamps. I inked it in with the pens from the Christmas Colours set and used the H2O pen to make the inks flow. I used the tulip head alone to make the background of tulip heads at the bottom of the page.

I then inked up and stamped the image on to a spare piece of white card and used the H2O brush to spread the colour. I darkened the edge of the card with both the brown and the red pen.

I Tied a bow in the sheer red polka dot ribbon and stuck it to the card about 1/3rd of the way up the card.

I used foam pads to stick the image to the base card as seen. I then stamped the message onto another piece of card and darkened the edges as before. This was also stuck on with foam pads.

I just love the vivid colours of this card as I hope, do you.

Here's number 2

This is another quick and easy card.

It's made by sticking a piece of decorative paper to the bottom third of the base card.
I tied a bow, using the bowshaper, in a piece of toning ribbon, I used the spring green in 9mm width for this card.
The image is coloured with the pens from the Spring Selection of Kuretake Art and Graphic pens and then it is stamped and cut out.
Stick the image to the base card with 3D foam pads and stamp a message of your choice at the side.

This is the next card. I'll write the instructions as soon as I can.

Slot Machine Fanaticism

I saw this great stamp on the Funny Ladies plate and I realised that she was wearing polka dot trousers. Great just the thing to go with the black polka dot ribbon that i have actually been sensible enough to bring with me. So here we go.

I stamped the image with Stazon Stone Grey and when it was dry, which is about two seconds later I coloured it in with the Kuretake Art and Graphic pens. I used numbers 29, and 71 which are both from the Christmas set. For he other colours I used the grey from the browns set and the yellow from the yellow set. I shaded the edges with one of the lighter greys.
I mounted the stamped piece onto black card and trimmed to leave a border all around. I then stuck that ribbon onto the base card and stuck the mounted image over the ribbon as shown.
I stamped the saying from the Sayings sheet onto white card and I mounted and trimmed this as well. I then stuck this below the image.
These images never fail to entertain me and I'm sure that if you send them to someone that they will have the same reaction.

I was inspired

I saw a great card on the Uk Scrappers forum and i was inspired to make one similar, given that I have limited resources. This fisherman card is what I came up with. I have used another one of the stamps from the Sporting Funnies page.

coloured him in with the Kuretake pens and I used some of the Take out the Stash papers for the background. I added ribbon and some bows and there he is. The message is one of the Savvy Stamps.

I hope that you like this card. Let me know by leaving a comment.

Golf Anyone?

I'm sure that you will all be glad to know that it's raining here today in sunny Italy so I've had to stay indoors and get creative. No hardship really as the alternative was to help my husband in the garden. It's no easy task in the heat. Not the same as sitting on a beach at all.

So this is what I've come up with today.

I've had this stamp for a while and I've been itching to use it so today I sat down with my pens and coloured him in. I love that miserable face and the birdie on his club.

Flower card from the stained glass collection

I have time to create at the moment as I am on holidays and there are no distractions. This means that I can spend more time making the cards that I like with pens and stamps. This one is made with one of the stained glass stamps and the Kuratake Art and Graphic pens.

Basically I stamped the image and coloured it in to get this effect. I'll be demonstrating it at the craft fair at Westpoint in September so if you pop along you can see.

Fame at Last

I am jumping up and down with delight as I have had some of my designs accepted for the editorial of the September issue of Crafts Beautiful. You can see them in the issue and here on the Blog after the publication date. All products are available on the Craft Fairy site.
