Male and Female Shaped Cards

Shaped cards are becoming increasingly popular and here are two ideas for making them for the boys and the girls.

I worked out a template which I cut out by hand. The papers are from the take out the stash boxes and it is possible to make 6 pairs of shorts from 1 sheet of paper. The tie at the top of the shorts is paper raffia in coffee.

The next card is one for the girls or even for the boys to make for someone. Just imagine that they might do this. I might even start a trend. Mothers and girlfriends every where will thank me.

I rather like this one myself. It's made with one of the shirt cards that I cut out in pink.

I then used a piece of scrapworks paper from the Take out the Stash box and cut it out to the shape of the card. I cut it up the middle and trimmed a central piece out. I also trimmed a piece away from the sleeves to give some contrast. you don't want flat boring cards.

These pieces of paper were then stuck to the front of the card with glue stick to avoid buckling the paper.

I stuck the flower diecut to the card and added a button which I had threaded and tied with ribbon to the centre.

Three small buttons were stuck to the middle of the card with foam pads.

An Almost Clear Table

This is a sight that I don't often see: An almost clear table. The cat thought so too as he got in there straight away. He was off pretty pronto to as I don't want him to think that he can sleep there all of the time. It's for my craft not his snooze.

Linda's Card

A very nice lady called Linda made this card for me from some of the items that I sent her with her order. It's a delightful card made to look like a bag. I hope that you all like it.

Linda has not been too well lately and card making has kept her occupied when she had been poorly. keep up the good work and get well soon.

Stained Glass Stamps

I know that I've bought these stamps to sell but I couldn't resist using this stained glass sheet to start making cards. Well it is an example so I have justified it to myself. You will need
I Brake for Stamps Stained Glass Unmounted Rubber Stamp
Organza ribbon in Light Orchid
White card for the base card and the stamped image
Lilac card for the mount
Zig brushables pen in spring green, cool cucumber,
Zig Art Graphic Pens in colours 60 and 61
Brush H20 pen detailer
Stazon in stone grey
3d foam pads
Bowshaper
These will soon be in stock.

To make the card
Stamp the image onto a piece of white card and leave to dry. With Stazon this is usually pretty quick.
Colour in as seen above by using the pens and diluting with water from the H2o brush. Leave to dry.
Cut out the stamped and coloured image and mount onto lilac card with 3d foam pads.
Stick on to a base card that is 140mm x 140mm.
Use a length of ribbon about 45cm long and using the bowshaper tie a bow in the middle of the ribbon. Wrap around the base card as shown and secure on the inside of the card with white lable.
Your card is finished.

If you want to you can stamp another image and decoupage the card. It will look even better.
