Think Pink with a Touch of Green

Well I seem to be on a roll as far as new cards go. I have gone back to pink though as when I dug into the box yesterday I found my beloved colour. Here it is. It's a sort of wallpaper stripe that has a thin line of green running through it. It's another Chatterbox paper and it's called,

Rosey Girl Stripe
I teamed it with:
9mm pink grosgrain ribbon
White hammer card
3mm mint green ribbon
3 buttons from the mixed pastel buttons pack

To Make the card:
Fold a piece of card to make a card 10.5cm x 21cm when folded.
Cut a piece of the Rosey Girl Stripe to fit along the bottom of the card as shown.
Cover the edge of the paper with the 9mm pink grosgrain ribbon
Thread a small piece of the mint ribbon through three buttons and tie to give an attractive finish.
Stick to the card as shown.
Cut out a circle of white card ans shown and stick to the base card.
Cut a small bag shape and use the mint ribbon as a handle. Stick to the circle using foam pads.

So that is number 6, I believe. Lots more to go.
Any one got a challenge? As if I have not set myself one. Nothing too hard mind.

Could this be a unisex card?

At last I have had a couple of hours to sit down and craft. A break from measuring ribbon and packing bows is always welcome. I started this whole thing to craft and I resent not being able to do so.

Enought complaining. On with the card.

What do you think of this one?

I used the daisy paper from the box and a daisy from my own products. I printed the message on the computer by varying the fonts and the colours.
I used the varigated green ribbon and stuck it to the card before sticking on the message and the daisy.

Easy or what.

I am still working at the box, but I had a diversion.

I am still working at the box, but I had a diversion. As it is Mother's Day and my husband did his usual. I have made a mother's day card for him to give to his mother, It is pink but I made it so I can choose my favourite.

This card is made using very little that I sell on the site but it uses a lot of the things that I take to the shows If you want the tea pots then leave me a message.

Mother's Day is hard for me as I lost my Mother about 18 months ago so it was a supreme effort to do this. I am sure that all of you who are in the same boat as I am will feel the same.

On the other hand my daughter sent me a lovely hand made card which I will keep safely with all the other cards that she has sent me. I might even get grandmother cards before long.

I've spent the last few days measuring out ribbon. A huge new box arrived and I am getting it ready for the UK Quilts show at Malvern. I know that it is not until May bt it takes ages to measure everything and we were so busy at Cheltenham that there is no way that we can measure and cut on the day. So I will be measuring for the next few weeks.

A card for the ladies at last.

I'm sure that you thought that the only things that I could make out of the box were cards for men, but fear not as I have at last moved on to the pretty papers. I like this card as it uses blue. Many of you will know that I tend to stick to pink so it is good to use another colour and blue it is. I used a die cut flower. If anybody want these I can cut them in most colours and I added some of my blue grosgrain ribbon and a couple of small tags with a peeloff message. The centre of the flower has a pearl button and on reflection it could have been finished off with a piece of thin ribbon. I might just do that and add some blue chalks to the tags. the creative spirit never dies.

This is the improvement. Do you think thta it is any better? The colour has not changed but I photographed it on a brighter day so it looks different.

Go on, be a devil and leave a comment.

My first 'Take Out the Stash' card. I aim to see how many things I can make from one box of goodies. I want the £34.99 to really work for its self.

At last I am starting to post the promised cards. This is my first card and it uses the 'Party One' paper from GinX. As you can see I only needed a little to make a big impact. I made an origami shirt and printed out a message on the computer. What do you think?

This is the second card.

I used:

1 tall card in cream hammer finish
a piece of 'Scrapbook walls by Chatter Box
a length of blue grosgrain 9mm ribbon
2 toning buttons1 'Happy', die cut word

It is really fast to make.
  1. All I had to do was stick a piece of the scrapbool paper to the bottom third of the card.
  2. Cover the join with the ribbon. I used double sided tape to stick it down and then I used foam pads to attach the buttons.
  3. I distressed the word with brown chalk and colouring pencil and I stuck it to the card with foam pads.

Can you get any easier?

It can't really but this next card might just take your fancy.

Fot this card I used a tall card in white hammer finish.

To Make the Card

  1. From both of the papers and the white card, I cut a pieces 8cm x 6cm.
  2. I overlapped the patterned paper as shown and stuck them to the card.
  3. I then cut a small slit in the middle of the white cand and bent it back as shown to represent a shirt collar. I stuck this to the shirt front. I then stuck the shirt to the card as shown.
  4. I added a peel off message and two buttons and the card was made.
