Well Everything Seems to Be Working Now.

Just as I thought that I was entierly useless at this blogging the thing seems to be working and I have managed to post properly. Horray!!!

No Christmas entries this time as I have had a request for a card that will not appear on my project page. It's a shop 'till you drop card which should ring a few bells with fellow crafters.

You Will Need
1 DL card 21 x 20 cm approx
folded on half
1 piece of Doodlebug Designs Sweet Stripes paper
1 pink tag set
1 pink die cut dress
A piece of pink organza ribbon
a couple of flowers
a message

To Make This Card
Cut a piece of sweet stripe paper out so that it is slightly smaller than the base card. Stick to the card with a dry glue.
Knot the pink ribbon through the hole in the tag and glue the white tag to the pink one. Top with the dress and the flowers. Stick to the card.
Add a computer printed message that has been printed out in pink on white card. Mount on to pink card and stick to the base card.

I aslo like this card but then I would as I made it. I will probably now set off on a pink theme so do not be surprised if you see lots more in this colour.

Why is it that everything goes wrong for me?

I am sure that I am not alone in this but things are not going to well on the computer front. I have tried to post the lovely baby gift bag several times but nothing happens. Why is this? I ask myself. Unfortunately no great voice in the sky answers. Or should I say fortunately. So I am going to post this entry without a picture and see what happens.

Continuing on the Bag Theme

Continuing with the bag theme I have made another one. This time it’s a gift bag to give for a new birth. I have made this one in blues but pink is equally good. I actually made the bag myself but I cannot work out how to write the instructions so that they make sense, so I have just given the buy a bag option.

I must say that I really like this bag. I think that it looks so fresh and clean just like a new baby boy.

You will need:

1 ready made bag in white.
Die cut pram in blue and one in white
1 metre of gingham ribbon
Double sided tape
Gingham bow
Small oval gift tag
Glue

Stick a line of gingham ribbon along the bottom of the bag as shown. I used double sided tape to do this. It does not show as glue would and it is neat and clean. it also means that the ribbon can be cut at the ends without ant fear that it will fray.

Cut out white pieces from the white pram and layer on to the blue pram as shown. Add a gingham bow. Thread a piece of gingham ribbon through the holes for the handle and tie. Make sure that you thread on the tag before tying off.

Too busy to post

I know that it might seem to be old hat but I really have been too busy to post lately. I have done the Creative stitches show at the CIA and hot on the heels of that my daughter arrived with my new grand daughter, They stayed for a week and that did not leave me wit time for anything else.
I now have time to breath so I can enter my latest project. It's a Christmas card. The one that all of my nearest and dearest are going to get this Christmas. I hope that you like it. It was inspired by a card that I saw in Cards Beautiful this month. By the way that is my favourite magazine.

My very latest interest is making gift bags for Christmas and I must say that I am pleased with my first attempts. Have a look at this Snowman Bag and let me know what you think. I made the bag myself but the method is fairly complicated to write out so I will take photos and then explain it.
I decorated the bag with a Sizzix snowman die cut that I layered up to give him a little interest. I shaded the snowman with pearlescent chalks.
